My plan was to start out with a bit of Destiny year 1 history to explain the numbers I'm using for the auto rifle fire rate to impact classification, but I found that was incredibly dull. So I deleted the three pages I was working on and boiled down what I had wrote to this: With stats being RoF/Impact, 100/2 is Soulstealers Claw/Doctrine of Passing/Arminius-D and 88/8 is Hardlight/Monte Carlo/Zarinaea-D there. Simple. Now, if you are still confused go jump off the tower, you're taking up space I could use to join my fireteam.
Moving on to the point, it's armsday and you know what that means, time for some disappointment! Grab your packages and lets sift through the pile of crap that was dropped on the tower this week.
I would suggest picking up the Häkke Zarinaea-D if you like 88/8 high RoF auto rifles, Suros DIS-43 for the mid RoF scout, and if you don’t have a good PvP Rocket Launcher grab the Suros JLB-47. The snipers are crap.
Take a Knee is slightly more appealing to me than Private eye in the same way that having bamboo shoots shoved between my fingernails is slightly more appealing to me than being waterboarded.
Roll 2 is the only good looking roll here, it has Full Auto (yay) without any stability perks (boo), but you may not need stability with Hammer Forged and Single Point Sling on this already quite stable pulse rifle.
I'm going to hold off on turning in my package this week.
All three of these rolls are good.
HCR/Unflinching/Smallbore on roll 2 and Fitted Stock/Range Finder/Hand-Laid Stock on Roll 3 both are lacking SPO-28, but other than that they are both fine rolls.
Roll 1 stands out to me this week as it has SPO-28/HCR/CB/Smallbore on it. Counterbalance took a nerf in the last patch, so I recommend testing the new Counterbalance out before making a decision this week.
Roll 2 has unflinching with HCR on a fast firing pulse rifle which should win most 1v1 engagements if you can get first shot.
Roll 3 looks good as well with Fitted Stock giving stability and Rangefinder giving range, the only think I am unsure about id Speed Reload or Hand-Laid Stock. I would lean HLS for the stability at the cost of range that Rangefinder should give back.
Since roll 1 has the SPO-28 I think I'll pick it up. I expect people will do testing on the Counterbalance changes this week so I'll wait until Saturday to make my order in case CB is broken after the patch. Roll 2 and 3 are equally tempting though.
There are two full auto rolls this week, but neither have a stability mod.
Roll 2 with Hammer Forged/Full Auto/Single Point Sling Gives range and mobility while aiming down sight. If forced I would take this roll.
I’m not a fan of partial refund, so I’ll be skipping roll 2.
Roll 3 with HCR/Full Auto/Snapshot could be a stagger beast or an inaccurate fire hose. With any stability mod in perk 3 I would probably snap pick this up.
I’m gonna hold on to my package DIS week.
I love me some ARI-41, but these rolls are doing it wrong.
You know my feelings on Private Eye which is a wasted perk on roll 1, which is a shame because the choice of Perfect Balance or casket mag with snapshot sounds like it could have been a cool roll.
Roll 2 has Icarus which when tested appears to give the least benefit to auto rifles, but the roll could be saved by lightweight if you wanted to try a high AGI aerial AR build.
Roll 3 has reload speed going for it with Feeding Frenzy and Speed Reload. I value reload speed lower than range or stability on the ARI-41 so I won't be turning in for this one.
I think I have enough ARI-41 rolls so I may experiment with roll 2.
If I missed something you wanted to see or need to let me know just how wrong I am, let me know in the comments down below.
